A small, family celebration was held for Lily's 2nd birthday. Lily opened her presents and, in typical fashion, when she came upon a gift that she really liked, the gift opening process went off track while Lily spent some time enjoying her new favorite. She did eventually get around to all of her presents though. At the same time, we enjoyed some refreshments. It was then time for the birthday cake. Lily patiently endured the song but then went right at the tiny confetti fish on her cake. It's fair to say she was a little possessive of the little "fishies". Photos are in the PHOTOS section and a short video is linked below. Happy Birthday, Lily!
Although we celebrated Lily's birthday ON her birthday, her Pop made arrangements for Lily to have a second celebration on one of her favorite rides. He rented the Carousel at Pottstown for an afternoon party. The Carousel at Pottstown is the second oldest remaining carousels in the U.S. The carousel was painstakingly restored over the course of twenty years. It is a marvel to see. Lily, and everyone, had a great time. See below.
