God Bless Noah Alexander

While we weren’t able to hold the desired larger gathering and celebration for Noah Alexander’s Christening, family and friends witnessed a beautiful baptismal ceremony. The officiating deacon fully explained the meaning of all of the facets of the ceremony to everyone present. It was a very beautiful ceremony.

Pop, with photography assistant, Joshua, took quite a few photos. You can find them HERE.

God Bless Noah on his entry into the community of the church. Fill his life with joy and love, to make his future bright.

2023 The Time is Almost Here... :-) :-(

The time is almost here. School is over. Summer is here. And, it’s fast approaching for part of our family to make the BIG move from Phoenixville, Pennsylvania to FLORIDA! Rebecca, Emma, Ella, Eli and Steve will be moving in a couple weeks. Foregoing the winters of the northeast for the permanent sunshine and warmth of Florida. Before the Klein family left, we wanted to have one, last get-together. We almost got it done but a lacrosse tournament for Henry in Annapolis precluded the Drayos from attending. Ron, Lori, Lily, Grace, John and Violet attended along with Mark, Steph and our little addition, Noah.

We enjoyed a very nice dinner at the Kimberton Inn. Mostly, we enjoyed the company of family.

We will miss the Klein clan but we realize that their bold move just gives us so many more reasons for more frequent trips to Florida! Bon Voyage, Klein Family. Know you take our best wishes and much love with you on your exciting new journey.

Some photos are HERE.

Welcome to the World, Noah Alexander Lego

On February 24, 2023 we welcomed to the world our newest grandchild, Noah Alexander Lego; born to Stephanie and Mark. It was rigorous and trying time for Noah’s parents but they were blessed with a healthy, beautiful baby. The parents report that Noah has not yet decided to take on a “normal” sleep pattern; choosing to be awake and vocal at all hours of the night. Welcome to parenthood.

Congratulations to Stephanie and Mark. God Bless little Noah. Some accumulated photos are HERE.

2023 It's BIRTHDAY time again! Many Birthdays in the beginning of the year! AND, some terrific gymnastics with our own Champ.

We celebrated many birthdays in the beginning of 2023. Luckily, this year we got to celebrate together for most of them, at least some of us. We didn’t have to make do with a driveway pass bys. Happy birthday to all, especially to my dearest, Kathleen. Photos and videos are in the “Photos” link above OR use the direct links that follow... Birthdays-Lily, John III, Violet, Grace. Emma. Henry. Kathleen (aka Grammy). Happy Birthday, Everyone!

Our Champ. Granddaughter Ella competes for the Phoenixville YMCA gymnastics team. In April, Phoenixville Y competed in the Pennsylvania State YMCA Gymnastics Championship. We’re very proud to say that Ella finished in 1st place for the overall championship for her age and skill group. Congratulations, Ella!!! Some pics and videos of that meet along with some from an earlier meet (February) are included HERE.

2022 Birthdays!! Grammy, Eli and Henry. NIV, Dance, Art, Fishing. Lots of happenings.

We have a lot of family birthdays bunhed up in the beginning months of the year. We celebrated birthdays for Kathleen (Grammy), Eli and Henry (his 12th). Photos are included in the highlighted links.

Lily, Grace and “Daddy” had their dance recital. Fishing actually produced dinner! And, the Art Contest produced our own 4th Grade WINNER!

Speaking of boats, Jay and Patty Wright (Villanova retired head basketball coach) were the Grand Marshalls of the 2022 Ocean City Night in Venice boat parade. Not the showstopper of earlier years but still some impressive entries.

This spring we travelled to Florida and Walt Disney World. We visited with my cousin Cathy in St. Augustine, Lynne and Ed in Clermont and we stayed at the Grand Floridian with Kristie, Mike, Henry and Sadie. We had dinner at Space 220 and a character breakfast at Toppolino’s at the Riviera Hotel. I used my “go kart” to get around the parks and keep up with the rest of the family.

Adding videos as we go. Lots added for WDW already. The videos will be included in the photo galleries as they get posted.

2022 Birthdays ! Lily, Violet and John

So many birthdays in the beginning of the year. Three siblings celebrate birthdays very close, Lily, Violet and John. While we could not attend the celebrations as a result of Ron’s recent knee operation. Lori provided lots of photos which have been edited a little and posted HERE for all to see.

Lori also provided several short videos which have been combined into one below. Enjoy.

2022 January Birthdays! Birthdays! Birthdays!

In our families, the beginning of the year is a time for birthdays. Our first bunch of birthdays occurred last week. Sadie celebrated her ninth birthday, followed by Emma who reached double digits at 10. Then came Grace who celebrated her 4th birthday.

I managed to get a few photos of the festivities. It was difficult with kids going in every direction. The photos are HERE.. A short video is below.

2021 Christmas Eve and Christmas Day (plus)

For the first time in many, many years our family Christmas Eve gathering was not held at our home. Rebecca and Steve kindly offered to host the evening for the Gorniaks, Kleins, Drayos, Grant, and Legos. Sadly, Ron and Lori could not make it as they were home with three sick little ones. Bad timing. Big Glenn and Arianne along with Greg and Julie’s family were there.

The food was copious and delicious. Lori sent gifts for the kinds and desert tray. I brought some vintage port, which created one crisis. The cork broke when we tried to remove it and Becca resorted to using her French press coffee maker to strain the cork pieces out of the port. Now, that’s a novelty, French press Port.

Soon it was time to break out the traditional Christmas Crackers for some explosive entertainment. Everyone donned their paper crowns as the trinkets were examined and gifts were exchanged. Some photos can be found HERE and a short video is included below. Merry Christmas.

Christmas morning started with a quick visit to the families but we were, of course, late for the presents were all opened by the time we arrived. It appeared that all of the kids had great visits from Santa. We returned to our house to prepare for Christmas Dinner. Ham, filets and all of the fixings along with several delicious deserts provided by our guests.

When the grandkids arrived, it was time to open the presents from Grammy and Pop. Photos of those and a short video are here. Unfortunately Mark and Steph had other commitments and Ron, Lori and the four little Legos were confined at home with illness. Lori did provide some photos that I have included in our collection, HERE.

Hoping to add some new photos and maybe extend the 2021 Christmas Day video when we finally get a chance to see Ron, Lori, Lily, Grace, John III and Violet. For now, here’s a short video put together for those who don’t like to browse photos.

Lori, Ron, Lily, Grace, John III and Violet finally recovered from being under the weather and were able to visit us New Year’s Eve. I’ve added several photos to the LINK, along with a very short video at the end of the gallery. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

2021 Phoenixville Country Club Kids Christmas Party

On December 18th, the Phoenixville Country held it’s annual Kids Christmas Party. Due to other commitments, our family representation was limited to Kathleen, myself and the Phoenixvile Lego clan. Everyone had fun. The food was actually quite good for being a kids buffet (chicken tenders, tatter tots, small quiches, fruit, waffles, potatoes, bacon, sausage). There were mimosas and bloody marys for those who chose and plenty of coffee, juice and other drinks for those who didn’t.

Balloon Man was there creating all sorts of interesting creatures and things, including: kitty cats, caterpillars, magic wands and “cars”. John was unconvinced that his balloon creation was a “car”…no wheels that turned. And, we did need a last minute adjustment to a kitty who insisted on turning her head.

Santa arrived via a golf cart careening over the golf course and the long bridge. Oddly, though, while Santa sat in his special location for some time, the PCC staff never communicated that to the attendees. Santa had no visitors, so he was asked by management to get up and walk around. At that point, we all said “we want pictures with you sitting”. After some convincing, Santa returned to his seat and our gang became this first photo visitors. Of course, other families immediately followed and a long line ensued. Glad we were first. Some photos of the action are HERE. We also managed to capture some dancing and other “cuteness” in the videos below.

2021 Grace's Christmas Celebration at Good Sam

Grace joins a long list of family children who have attended day school at Good Samaritan church. Each year, Good Sam presents a Christmas celebration that involves all of the students of the school. Parents are provided with a full video of the festivities but, Pop-Pop cannot refrain from taking, at least, a few photos or videos. It seems our little granddaughter is infatuated with a classmate and he with her. A few photos are HERE. There is also a video at the end of the gallery.
